JUNE 11-13

BRE PRESENTS:

BURLINGTON STEAMBOAT DAYS

June 11th, 12th, and 13th will mark the 57th year of tradition on the riverfront in downtown Burlington. This year, Burlington Riverfront Entertainment (BRE) will present the live entertainment at this year’s Burlington Steamboat Days on both the main stage and south stage.

June 11th will kick off the festival with free live music on the south stage with multiple bands including headliner, The Pork Tornadoes!

Their live show does the talking for them, as well as their signature taglines "Your Girlfriend's Favorite Band" and "BeardPop." The shroud of mystery surrounding the band, the terribly-poor choice in band name, and the head-scratching, enormous amount of video views (3.7 million views on Youtube) and fans on every social media website (60,000 followers) are enough to bring curious music lovers out to a show to "see what all the fuss is about."

“This is a night to get a sneak peak of the grounds, buy your tickets to the other nights and enjoy some cold beverages, food, and a killer show from The Pork Tornadoes and other bands.” says Mike O’Neil, executive director for BRE. “For free!” he adds.

Friday June 12th will feature country music headliner, Riley Green. Just last year, the chart-topper released his full-length album “Different ‘Round Here” which includes his number one hit song, “There Was This Girl” and new climbing single, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died”.

BRE Assistant Director, David Kroll shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming country star, “Riley has been touring with Brad Paisley and is currently on Jason Aldean’s “We Back” tour. These are some of the biggest tours in the world right now. You don’t get asked to be a part of all that unless you really know how to put on a show!”

Immediately following Riley Green on the south stage, The Spazmatics will end the night with a bang! They’ll be bringing all the awesome sounds, styles, and way cool dance steps from the 1980's decade we'd love to forget. Complete with skinny ties, Brill Creamed hair, and horn-rimmed glasses, the Spazmatics recapture all the best of the worst. Outstanding musicianship combined with creative flair and style makes for an evening of pure energy and entertainment.

Saturday June 13th, country music mega queen and redneck woman, Gretchen Wilson will rock the riverfront with her unapologetic and high energy show. She took the country music world by storm when she released her #1 hit song “Redneck Woman” in 2005. Other hits include “Here For The Party”, “All Jacked Up”. “When I Think About Cheatin” and “Homewrecker”.

In 2014 Gretchen took some time off to be a full-time mom to her daughter but recently returned with an album and a tour that picks up right where she left off! Her live show is promising to be a trip back to the old days featuring familiar titles and a band that rocks as hard as the Redneck Woman does.

Gretchen will be featuring the next “redneck woman” on her label during her show. Jessie G has recently signed with Gretchen’s label Redneck Records and will be giving fans a preview of what they are working on.

Closing out the night on the south stage will be Southeast Iowa’s favorite country band, StumpTown.

Tickets will go on sale Friday February 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM and can be purchased as a single night ticket for $30 or a two-night ticket for $40. VIP seating will cost an additional $10. For tickets and more information, visit BurlingtonRiverfront.com
